Busy parents receive a lot of communication from their children’s schools but it isn’t always what they want to see. A rural school division in Alberta requested the design and development of a tool that would allow them to communicate news, calendars and notifications directly to parents while ensuring that parents could choose exactly what they want to see.
Within the app, parents are able to pick their school(s) and the information they would like to receive from each individual school and the division, allowing parents to see only the information and content they need.
The app integrates with the website’s CMS to pull data from the division and school websites, allowing for staff to only need to make edits or add content in one place including the ability to send push notifications.
